Plant Physiology (HORT 301; 3 lecture credits + 1 lab credit) is an advanced undergraduate class. It includes plants’ vital functions, including growth and development, the absorption and processing of nutrients, the synthesis and distribution of proteins and other organic molecules, and the functioning of different tissues, organs, and other anatomic structures. TA’s role was to cooperate with the instructors in the lab experiments, hold office hours to answer students’ questions, grade quiz and midterms, as well as provide midterm and quiz questions and answers.  For this course, students were also required to work as a group of 3 to 4 forming an independent research project. Each TA also served as a mentor of four research groups, helping them to build up a testable hypothesis and conduct a series of experiments to prove or disprove the hypotheses.
